dr. KNUS is a short, interactive hip-hop dance performance for children between 4 and 8 years old. In this performance, the audience and the dancers search for a solution to their major problem; The light is out!
The children are invited into the dark world of the 2 dancers. Their world was not always dark. Their world was once illuminated by a thousand lights. But now there are only a few left. Can they find a solution together before the last light goes out?
Children have had a very difficult time in the corona time with the lack of school, hobbies, family and friends. dr. KNUS is about finding the light in yourself (with help of others) in dark times.
“My shadow no matter how dark it is always dances when I dance in the light.” -Soraya-
The inspiration for this performance was the discovery of a secret tunnel full of old graffiti during the first lockdown. Although it was a dark and scary place, it was also a beautiful place full of memories of previous times.
