These are the Virtual Residencie makers 2022

For the selection of the makers, the Nederlandse Dansdagen has been working together since last year with three organizations that jointly cover a large part of the talent development in dance: Moving Futures (a collaboration between Dansateliers Rotterdam, DansBrabant, ICK Artist Space, De Nieuwe Oost and Random Collision), Korzo (in collaboration with Nederlands Dans Theater) and PLAN Talentontwikkeling Brabant (a collaboration between HZT, Circolo, Theater De Nieuwe Vorst, DansBrabant, United Cowboys, Parktheater, Theaterfestival Boulevard, Artemis, Festival Cement, Podium Bloos) with Corpo Máquina as an external partner.
The Virtual Residencies project was initiated by the Nederlandse Dansdagen in 2018 as a research into remote co-creation, in which the makers make use of digital media. It was investigated which problems arose in this respect and which new opportunities were opened up as a result. The creators involved at the time were Hilde Elbers and Heather Ware. The concept came from DansBrabant, who was also co-producer.
In view of the long-term impact of the pandemic and the irreversible digitization that has ensued, the Nederlandse Dansdagen wants to continue the project over several years. The project was therefore transformed in 2020. The selected makers were given an assignment that was deliberately broadly formulated: to create something for a digital platform. In this way they kept the artistic freedom to follow their own urgencies and to work out-of-the-box. During the completely online edition of the Dutch Dance Days in 2020, Virtual Residencies of Ann Van den Broek, David Middendorp, Peter Leung and Redo Ait Chitt and Dominique Vleeshouwers were presented. In 2021 they were Antonin Rioche, Evangelos Biskas, Jija Sohn and Ruben Chi.

Sarada Sarita
Sarada Sarita graduated from the Performing Arts Institute Amsterdam in 2008 and received a development grant from the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts in 2012 to study at the Peridance Center in New York. As a professional dancer and performer, Sarita has broad experience in various performing arts disciplines and dance styles, with a strong passion for and specialization in Waacking and Voguing. In 2018 Sarita received the Zilveren Krekel for 'Most Impressive Stage Performance' for her interpretation of the Evil Queen in GRIMM by ISH & the Junior Company of Dutch National Ballet. As a maker and choreographer, Sarada Sarita is not afraid to ask difficult questions and make statements about humanity, equality and consciousness. With her latest research piece Q4: Quantified, Sarita won the BNG Bank Dance Prize 2019. Her trajectory ended with a research trip to South America in early 2020, which will result in a live Waacking theater performance The Quintessentials-Q5.

Constantin Trommlitz
Constantin Trommlitz has a background in breaking and currently works as an artist in two areas – film and dance. These two interests have brought him somewhere between multimedia makership, choreography, filmmaking and self-interest experimentation with an unconventional mix of both.
Often these two areas are far apart, movement versus technical skills, being in the moment with your body versus directing from the outside. By slowly forging his path to his own original projects, Trommlitz increasingly comes to the core of his work and what connects both disciplines, namely intimacy.
As a member of the Fractal Collective Foundation, he is currently artist in residence at Korzo in The Hague until 2024.

Simon Bus
Simon Bus has been part of the breakdance crew 'Trashcan Heroes' since 2002, with which he participates fanatically in as many battles as possible at home and abroad. In 2012, he completed his study 'visual communication' at the Academy of Visual Arts in Maastricht. His B-boy name Statue betrays that his 'feeling for images' has also penetrated the breakdance scene. In 2018, he begins to dedicate himself to making. He continues to experiment with urban dance forms such as house and breakdance. From his own hyperflexibility he turns these forms inside out and upside down and he also knows how to stimulate his dancers in this. This creates a unique movement language, which in turn also inspires specific design and lighting. In addition to being a choreographer, Simon remains a much sought-after dancer in the work of Guilherme Miotto, Shailesh Bahoran and Dunja Jocic, among others. Simon has been supported from ThinX/Parktheater since 2017 and has since then collaborated with Corpo Máquina Society with whom he went through an FPK-supported New Makers trajectory in 2019 and 2020. This collaboration continues. Since 2021, Simon has also been supported by PLAN Brabant.
